Prenatal Yoga

Prenatal Yoga focuses on gentle warm-ups, stretches, pranayama & postures appropriate for all stages of pregnancy, primarily done on the ground utilizing a variety of props for added stability and supported alignment. This class will allow you to develop strength and safe flexibility to enhance your comfort and empowerment during pregnancy, labor, birth and beyond.

Yoga is a powerful way to connect to your innate mothering wisdom AND to your baby even before holding them in your arms. Taught by a childbirth educator, postpartum doula, and mother of two, this class is laced with birthing affirmations, wisdom, comfort measures, and practices that will serve you both during your birth journey and long into motherhood.

Baby & Me Yoga

Baby & Me Yoga is a fun, community-focused class for new parents and babies designed with the first six months of newborn care and postpartum recovery in mind.

This class provides parents the opportunity to regain strength and tone muscle while combatting muscular tensions and alignment issues common in newborn care. Parents and babies will enjoy this carefully designed yoga practice seamlessly incorporating play, movement exploration, infant massage, and connection with other parents and their babies.

Cultivate both your physical strength AND confidence while connecting with others new to their parenting journey. We all know babies keep their own schedules, so please know we celebrate the reality that you’ll likely need to change a diaper or feed your baby anytime during class to make them comfortable.

Come to class with an open heart, a blanket, some toys for your wee-one, your yoga mat and water. Our purpose is to provide a supportive environment where parents can learn together while bonding with their babies in a space that is safe to ask all the questions.

We absolutely welcome all parents and their newborn through crawling babies regardless of how you became a parent. Adoptive parents are so welcome here.

Prior yoga experience is unnecessary to enjoying and benefitting from this class. New moms should discuss readiness to participate in the physical component of this class with their care provider in advance, although with discernment and clear communication, this class can be just as beneficial in a passive, seated posture.

Restorative Yoga

Restorative Yoga is a passive and gentle, yet powerful practice consisting of seated and supine poses typically held for several minutes.

Moving slowly into and holding these opening postures alongside intentional breath work allows the practitioner to calm and center the mind and nervous system while accessing deep opening and release within the body.

Restorative Yoga was developed to access connective tissues allowing for deepening flexibility and aiding healing while increasing energy flow.

Gentle Yoga

Gentle Yoga focuses on gentle warm-ups, stretches, breathing & postures primarily done on the ground utilizing a variety of props for added stability and supported alignment.

This class is ideal for the person looking for greater relaxation and stress reduction and a slower pace to their yoga practice.

Deep Tissue Stretch Yoga

Deep Tissue Stretch with Hannah focuses on asana poses and the opening of muscle tissues with long-ish holds in a warmed studio.

Your practice will be supported by an array of props and modification options to support a slow, gentle release in each posture making this an accessible class for any body.

Through a variety of thoughtfully sequenced, slower movements and gentle, intentional holds, you’ll be offering your muscles a much needed release and recovery to wind down the weekend.

Whether you’re looking to access flexibility, develop the more subtle, supportive muscle groups to increase balance, recover from your more dynamic weekly workouts, or simply seek an accessible yoga practice, this class is for you.

Gentle Flow Yoga

Gentle Flow Yoga is an accessible vinyasa-styled exploration of flowing yoga sequences that is dynamic enough to be considered a workout but gentle enough for every practitioner.

Gentle Flow Yoga begins with a deeply grounding warmup that supports your body to gradually transition to the flowing practice, intentionally supported by the breath.

This practice is literally for everyone but was designed with those newer to yoga and/or fitness in mind. Our focus is on accessibility making this our go-to option for literally every body. (Yes, even you!)

Flow + Restore Yoga

Our Flow + Restore practice is all about revitalization, bringing your yin and yang energies into harmony while filling your head and heart with ease.

In a life so full of output, dip into the bliss of this deeply grounded practice inviting you to go within and leave feeling whole again.

Taught by Renkon owner Sarah, you will be guided through a dynamic yet accessible Vinyasa flow for the first half of class which will then transition to a nurturing restorative practice for the second half.

Throughout the practice, our focus will be synchronizing movement with breath to develop a powerful sense of self-awareness, presence, balance, and harmony with ourselves and the world around us.

Each class is unique, but may include the many variations of Sun Salutations as well as standing postures, inversions, backbends, twists, forward bends, and deep relaxation. Modification and prop suggestions will be offered throughout the practice to support your practice exactly as it is.

Vinyasa Flow Yoga

Vinyasa Yoga Flow is a dynamic class enabling you to improve strength, health and flexibility.

This practice involves variations of standing, seated, and balanced poses with a focus on alignment. It’s a practice to inspire and invoke the physical and mental bodies while linking breath to movement.

It’s a great way to release tension, clear your mind, and strengthen your body.

Hot Yoga

Hot Yoga is Renkon Studio’s heated (tapas) vinyasa offering. Tapas is heat, specifically the kind of heat generated by certain yogic practices. In this class, our Melissa will guide you through building heat (tapas) through a dynamic flow that includes balance poses, twists, long holds in a pose, and variations of poses.

The class will be held in a warmed studio and the practice itself will further generate heat within, both physical, energetic and mental.

As with all classes at Renkon, we are committed to offering yoga for every body, so modifications will be demonstrated and intuitively offered, creating a safe and fun environment to challenge yourself and deepen your yoga practice.

This class is not suitable for our prenatal clients or those of our clients whose health may be negatively impacted by a heated studio environment.

Power Reset Yoga

Tap into the power within yourself, cultivating breath, body awareness, and mental focus in our Power Reset yoga practice.

Yoga Foundations Series of 6 Classes or 4 hour Workshop

Yoga Foundations – Your 6 week beginner series or 4 hour workshop to learn, understand and embody the basics of yoga. Whether you’re curious, wanting to learn the basics before taking your first class, get some questions answered and learn the subtleties of yoga you’ve never had explained, this is the workshop for you.

No experience is necessary.This is an accessible class series for anyone, any age, any fitness level, any BODY. Yes, even you!

If we’re all honest, the first time anyone walked into a yoga class, we were scared. Heck, most of us felt intimidated or self-conscious the 2nd, the 3rd time too… New teachers, words, movements, can be a lot to navigate especially when you’re in and amongst others who seem so comfortable with it it all.

Mark will guide your six week exploration to demystify the magic of yoga and help you learn and build the foundations for a basic yoga practice in a safe and supportive environment where the only bad questions are those that go unasked.

Mark is committed to ensuring you are comfortable, well-prepared, supported (mentally and physically), and making it fun too! Your Yoga Foundations classmates will become a community of close friends as you move through this learning journey together! When it comes to feeling connected and comfortable, our community-focused yoga studio rooted in the power of human connection is the place to be.

Your six week Yoga Foundations series at Renkon Yoga Studio will cover:

  • -How to prepare for your first yoga class, yoga studio culture, and how to select what class to attend

    -Common yoga postures and sequences

    -Safe Transitions and Support: getting into and out of postures and an exploration of props

    -The Language of Yoga: words, phrases, and common cues to ensure you understand what’s happening in any yoga class

    -Fundamental breathing practices used in most yoga practices

    -Foundations of basic meditation

    -The other 7 limbs of yoga (it’s more than just movement)

  • Your Yoga Foundations class series will inspire and empower you with the knowledge and confidence to safely participate in yoga practice just about anywhere. You’ll also have a solid level of knowledge about what yoga is (and what it isn’t) and have all of your questions answered to clear your head and put your heart at ease.

    Yoga & Depression Series of 6 Classes

    We live in a world that addresses the reality of depression from a distance which makes those of us with depression feel even more invisible and misunderstood. Renkon Yoga Studio is committed to creating a space where the realities of human experience are a common ground for connection and exploration, not something to hide away.

    We are pleased to be able to offer a Yoga & Depression class series over the course of six weeks facilitated by our Hannah. She has put her heart into preparing a safe space for solidarity, exploration and human connection for anyone interested in learning how to implement a yoga practice alongside depression.If you find yourself with any of these thoughts with regard to this workshop, it might just be the thing for you:

    How can yoga help my sadness?

    I’ve never been officially “diagnosed”…can I still take this class?

    I’ve heard meditation can alleviate depression so I’m curious to learn more about yoga.

    Can yoga help me feel more energized? I literally don’t think I have the energy to commit.

    I can’t tolerate faking this cheerfulness anymore but the idea of being around people who might understand has me intrigued…just a little.

    Hannah has been managing her depression since childhood. In recent years through a dedicated yoga practice, she felt the bonds slowly begin to release their hold. She says she is by no means “cured,” (and she’s of course not a medical professional) but she has found in yoga many effective tactics for living peacefully alongside depression. She is passionate about sharing what she has learned on her own journey because she wishes that someone had shared it with her when it was impossible to get out of bed for days at a time.

    Each class of our six week series will begin with an all-levels accessible yoga practice, including an exploration of different breathing techniques and yoga philosophy. The second half of class includes a facilitated opportunity to share, discuss, and build support for one another while navigating the peaks and valleys of depression.

    Topics of your Yoga & Depression class series will include:

    -Meeting your tribe

    -What is depression?

    -Self-love, Surrender & Acceptance

    -Releasing trauma through asana (yoga postures)

    -Meditation and Pranayama (breathing techniques)

    -Creating (and maintaining) a personal yoga practice

    In addition to the weekly class series, you’ll be added to a secret Facebook group facilitated by Hannah where you will receive support, encouragement, gentle accountability and shortly weekly practices or reflection assignments to keep you connected to your exploration of yoga and help you integrate your experiences at Renkon studio into your daily life.

    This class is appropriate for ages 18+ and is accessible for all levels of yoga experience (yes, no experience is included on that list).

    The price of the six week Yoga & Depression class series is $65. Please register in advance to reserve your place in the class series. Space is limited to 10 people.  The cost of this 6 class series is not included in our weekly class rates. This class series must have a minimum of 5 people registered to run – please share the details with your people.

    Class Pricing

    Renkon Studio believes in keeping things simple, and we know our pricing structure can help keep you honest and intentional. We don’t believe in offering year-long memberships, but we do offer a simple pricing structure that rewards you for coming back.

    We offer a monthly membership, which is an auto-renewing, of $68 per month for unlimited regular yoga classes. Our membership also includes a 25% discount on workshops, special events and series plus a 10% discount on merchandise.

    Our single yoga class rates are $17 and we have some class bundles to give you a bit more bang for your buck. New clients get a ’30 days for $30′ class bundle as a simple thank you for coming in and to give you a safe way to test out our space, our teachers, and feel experientially — in your own body, heart and head — all the benefits of yoga.  We offer a 6 class bundle for $72 ($12 per class) and a 12 class bundle for $120 ($10 per class).  The cost of workshops or special yoga series are separate from the class bundles.

    Yoga isn’t cheap but it IS affordable, and its benefits to living your best life are bottomless. We value our clients and want to provide you with a world-class experience at every yoga class and we thank you for valuing your experience in our space.

    Payments

    Renkon accepts credit card payments only. Money is energy and so is time: we want you to arrive relaxed knowing that checking in will be a breeze. By encouraging pre-registration and credit card payments, it allows our teachers to pay attention to the people arriving to our studio space rather than tending to their money and making change. All around, it creates more ease in your yoga experience at our studio.

    Thank you for understanding why we do not accept cash or checks. Payment and registration may be made in advance via the Renkon Studio app available in your app store, via our website schedule or by logging in to your MindBody account and searching for ‘Renkon’.

    Booking, Refunds and Cancellation Policies

    We encourage everyone to register in advance for classes they will attend to guarantee their space in our studio. By booking via our app and accepting notifications, you’ll receive information about any class cancellations due to inclement weather or unexpected teacher illness in a timely, stress-free way.

    We know plans change unexpectedly. You can early cancel your reservations via our app or your MindBody account up to two hours in advance of class start time if something comes up that makes you unable to attend as committed. We’ll happily place that class credit back on your account for you to use the next time. No shows and late cancellations that are made within two hours of class start time will forfeit the class credit as though you had attended. Thank you for understanding that when you reserve a space in our studio, it’s a space someone else might have used, so we do ask you to please be respectful of our schedule and your yoga community by giving us the courtesy of early cancellation. If an emergency comes up, just e-mail us and let us know. We’ll do right by you.

    Workshops and special yoga class events cancelled 72 hours prior to workshop start will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made within 72 hours of workshop start time are non-refundable.

    We reserve the right to cancel a class in the event of inclement weather. Please be sure to opt in to our application notifications which will send a message directly to your device via our app. We will also post cancellation information on our Facebook and Instagram social media feeds.
